Description
Interleukin-9 belongs to a family of cytokines, which includes IL-2, IL-4, IL-7, IL-15 and IL-21. It signals through a receptor complex consisting of an IL-9 receptor (IL9R) and a common gamma chain that is shared between all members of this family. IL-9 activates Jak/STAT and MAPK signaling modules.
