Description
Interleukin-7 belongs to a family of cytokines, which includes IL-2, IL-4, IL-9, IL-15 and IL-21. It signals through a receptor complex consisting of IL-7 receptor alpha chain (IL7RA) and a common gamma chain (γc) that is shared between all members of this family. IL-7 mainly activates the JAK/STAT signaling module.
